Raw Video: Garage fire heavily damages home in Lynn Township, PA.

Just around midnight Monday crews were dispatched to 9642 Ponderosa Court in Lynn Twp for a reported house fire. As crews were responding they were advised of multiple calls and upgraded to a 2nd alarm.

First arriving officer confirms the job and crews arrive and go to work. Multiple lines are placed in service as crews work to darken down the fire and prevent further spread, Crews worked for a couple of hours before placing the fire under control.

Firefighters make quick attack on a house fire in Catasauqua, PA

At 20:45 Sunday evening Lehigh County 9-1-1 fire radio transmitted the box for the 100 block of Pine Street for smoke from the roof of a building sending stations 2 and 18.

Chief 201 arrives and reports smoke from a window on the top floor of a 3-story large single-family-dwelling (SFD). Chief 201 requested Rescue 11 (Greenawalds) for the F.A.S.T. company.

Engine 211 establishes a water supply from the hydrant at 2nd and Pine and lays in. The engine crew stretches a hand line to the 3rd floor to find a small fire in a 3rd floor room. The crew extinguishes the fire quickly and opens up the windows to ventilate.

Ladder 231 crew members along with the junior firefighters throw multiple ground ladders to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

The Fire Marshal (FM2) is investigating the cause of the fire.

Father and son killed in fast moving fire that destroyed their house

Lehigh County 9-1-1 received multiple calls at 06:10 for a report of a house fire with people trapped. At 06:11 Lehigh County transmitted the box for 7129 Myrtle Drive sending stations 30 (Wescosville), 25 (Trexlertown), Allentown Engine 10 (F.A.S.T.) and Medic 62. Chief 30-04 arrived on location at 06:15 and reported a 2-story single family dwelling with heavy fire throughout all floors and had the 2nd alarm struck.

At 06:19 Lehigh County transmitted the 2nd alarm sending Engines 112, 3112, Berks Engine 21, Ladder 831, cascade 3292 and rehab 66. Command had the first due Engine use their deck gun to hit the fire. Two elevated master streams were placed in-service along with large hand lines to all corners of the house.

A defensive attack was ordered shortly after arrival of the companies. Crews attempted to gain entry to the second floor for a search but fire conditions were to intense.

Neighbors helped the mother out of the house and the daughter jumped out of a second floor window. The father and son never made it out. It didn't take long for the fire to devour the house.

The fire was brought under control in 2 hours. The coroner was requested to the scene. State Police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Accident involving ladder truck injures 5 people

A Philadelphia Fire Department ladder truck (13) was involved in a motor vehicle accident around 10:30AM Sunday at 55th and Baltimore in West Philly. 5 people were injured and its unknown if any of them were firefighters. Three people were transported as trauma alerts.

Dispatch Audio: St. Clair Police Officer shot & killed responding to domestic dispute

The Dispatch audio of the police response and shooting of a St. Clair, PA. police officer Lloyd Reed, a 25-year veteran, will give the listener an insight of the dangers of responding to domestic disturbance calls that officers respond to on a daily basis. Some portions of this audio are disturbing and listener discretion is advised.

At approximately 9:17PM Saturday evening, Westmoreland County 9-1-1 sent their PD units to assist State Police to a domestic disturbance at 131 Ligonier Street. State Police were on a delayed response and requested Township police to assist. A female locked herself in an upstairs room after being assaulted with a rifle by her boyfriend Ray Shetler, age 31 who was intoxicated.

Police arrived and initially had trouble finding the home. Meanwhile, the female caller said her boyfriend was outside near his pick-up truck and that her house was filling with smoke. Police were advised that he still had the gun with him.

Approximately 9:39PM radio transmissions stated that shots were fired and "490" was down. EMS was requested forthwith and to proceed in even know the scene was not secure. The suspect fled on foot and a large manhunt commenced.

Fire units were sent in for the house fire that was allegedly started by the suspect. The girlfriend received very minor injuries.

The police officer died at the emergency room. Ray Shetler was taken into custody around 3:30AM when he was found walking near a power plant. He had a gunshot wound from the earlier gun battle.

Court records show that Ray Shetler was arrested in 2013 for simple assault and harassment.

New Florence is located 13 miles west of Johnstown in Westmoreland County, PA.
